Certificate & Diploma in Accounting- City & Guilds qualifications

These Accounting qualifications help you develop your skills and take on more responsibility in your accounting role, whether you are new to the profession or an experienced worker. It is a practical hands-on involving course, which will help set up and expand both your Accounting skills and experience and your personal life skills.

You'll learn valuable communication, management and industry-specific skills which will help you progress in your career.

You can attain this qualification across two levels-

  • Level 2 Certificate in Accounting
  • Level 3 Diploma in Accounting

To achieve the Level 2 Certificate in Accounting, learners must achieve 24 credits from the 12 Mandatory Units. This can be achieved within 6 – 12 months and it costs £1,200.

To achieve the Level 3 Diploma in Accounting, learners must achieve 41 credits from the 13 Mandatory Units. This can be achieved within 12 - 18 months and costs £1,500.

These qualifications are run all year round and can be started and delivered flexibly to meet the needs of the learner. If you are currently in a job or have prior work experience, we will need to assess your skills and experience in order to match you into the appropriate level of qualification to opt for.

A portfolio of evidence which covers the assessment criteria for each unit or combination of units needs to be put together by the learner to achieve any of these qualifications. These qualifications will be delivered as a combination of a few days classroom teaching session, portfolio building and assessments.

For these qualifications, any of the following assessments techniques may be applied-

  • Workplace assessment through observations
  • Work-based assessment (workplace simulation)
  • Oral presentation and questioning

If you are not in work, and you are interested in taking on the Certificate in Accounting qualification, we will support you with a relevant work placement to help you cover the needed units and course work for this qualification.

Upon completion of most of our trainings, there is a guaranteed opportunity for Accounting Work Placement within an Accounting firm, subject to receiving two references for each candidate. The length of your Accounting Work Placement depends on the combination of trainings you attend.
