Business skills (Level 2-3) Diploma

The OCR Business Skills suite of qualifications provides candidates with high quality, nationally recognised qualifications. They are vocationally-related, credit-based qualifications that provide valuable opportunities for individuals to develop skills, gain underpinning knowledge and understanding and demonstrate competence in the workplace. They provide progression opportunities within the business environment and OCR Business Skills suite, or the parent qualifications (such as NVQs in Business and Administration or Customer Service). They support achievement of Functional Skills/Essential Skills and relate to national occupational standards (NOS).

The awarding body for these qualifications is Oxford Cambridge and RSA Examinations (OCR) and the regulatory body is the Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation (OfQual).

These qualifications are regulated in the Qualifications and Credit Framework and appear on the Register of Regulated Qualifications. They are supported by the Council for Administration (CfA), the sector body for business and business related skills.

You can attain this qualification across three levels-

  • Level 1 Certificate in Business Skills
  • Level 2 Diploma in Business Skills
  • Level 3 Diploma in Business Skills

OCR’s Level 1 & 2 Business Skills qualifications are ideal starter qualifications for those who wish to enter, or already work in a job role requiring the use of a limited variety of skills and knowledge to carry out their responsibilities in a business environment.

OCR’s Level 3 Business Skills qualification is a bite-size qualification ideal for learners who already have experience of office-based skills and who may want to demonstrate evidence of first line managerial abilities.

These qualifications are internally assessed by The Training Place of Excellence and externally moderated by OCR. The units are not graded.
